About the internship

This internship is an opportunity to join Trade Brains as a research analyst intern with a strong focus on equity research and financial markets. You will collaborate with the research team, study businesses and industries, and help shape investment ideas and research-backed recommendations.

What you'll do

• Review and interpret financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
• Assess a company’s financial strength, profitability, operating efficiency, and potential for future growth.
• Carry out company, industry, and sector-level research to understand market trends, competition, risks, and changing dynamics.
• Collect, structure, and analyze financial and market data to support investment analysis and decision-making.
• Help prepare research reports, investment views, valuation models, and investment theses.
• Track quarterly results, corporate actions, regulatory updates, and sector-specific news for assigned companies and industries.
• Assist the team in spotting and evaluating possible investment opportunities.

Requirements

• A completed bachelor's or master's degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a closely related field.
• A research analyst certification such as NISM Series XV is preferred.
• Good understanding of stock markets and broader financial markets.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements accurately.
• Familiarity with valuation methods and important financial ratios.
• Strong analytical ability and research-oriented thinking.
• Careful attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Genuine interest in equity research and investment analysis.

Additional information

The role is centered on equity research, financial analysis, and investment research work. You will gain hands-on exposure to company and industry analysis, valuation models, investment thesis creation, research report preparation, and monitoring market, earnings, and regulatory developments that influence investment decisions.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can work full time from the office, can begin between 2nd Jul'26 and 6th Aug'26, are available for a 3-month internship, and have relevant skills and interests.

Compensation
