Role overview

In this position, you will lead channel distribution and network growth for Airtel Payments Bank across assigned territories. The role focuses on identifying business points, enabling channel partners, building channel value, and managing Business Development Executives (BDEs) along with market operations to strengthen key business metrics.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage the sales distribution network in the allocated territory by identifying suitable channel partners for distribution.
  • Grow the distribution footprint using a DPL-led approach, extending coverage to block and village levels so the Airtel Payments Bank BC network remains at arm’s length.
  • Supervise BDEs, conduct gate meetings and on-the-job training, and support market development initiatives.
  • Track return on investment and implement actions to improve partner profitability.
  • Recruit new partners, manage branding activities, and expand Airtel Payments Bank outlets while attracting and retaining the right outlet profile.
  • Lead go-to-market execution and sell the full range of banking products.
  • Improve throughput across zones through AePS, MATM, cash withdrawals, cash deposits, DMT, CMS, utility payments, recharges, and other banking use cases.
