Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Verification Officer at the Limerick NDLS Centre. It is a fixed-term, specific-purpose, part-time contract. The role sits within the National Driver Licence Service network, which SGS Ireland delivers on behalf of the Road Safety Authority (RSA).
What You Will Do
- Handle driving licence applications within set deadlines while delivering strong customer service and following identity checks, document checks, and NDLSFO business rules.
- Carry out careful review of supporting documents, image captures, and signature uploads in the NDLS Front Office Solution.
- Follow the correct procedures for using the Front Office Solution and dual-screen technology.
- Complete all required in-person and virtual training, keep training records up to date, and submit them as instructed, including mandatory sign-offs issued by the NDLSFO Helpdesk.
- Work in line with the Company Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and SGS Equality & Diversity policies.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of SOPs, the procedures manual, and any other reference materials connected to the Verification Officer position.
- Report significant discrepancies, security incidents, or data breaches without delay to the Regional Supervisor, NDLSFO Helpdesk, Operations Manager, and Head of Security.
- Follow company rules covering integrity, mobile phone use, and uniform requirements.
- Be willing to travel to other NDLS centres when needed.
- Work Saturdays as part of a fair rotating roster.
- Help maintain a professional and safe workplace that protects your own health and safety, as well as that of colleagues and the public.
- Take on other duties as needed, as the list of responsibilities may change over time.
Requirements
- Leaving Certificate and/or FETAC Level 5 skills certificate or higher.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
- Good computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Previous experience dealing with the public.
- Friendly, efficient, and customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Fluent English is required; fluent Irish is an advantage.
