Transportation Program Manager

Role Overview

Google’s global Transportation team is looking for a program leader to help run and improve corporate commuter transport services across India and support additional locations in APAC and EMEA. This role focuses on delivering dependable, efficient, and scalable mobility solutions that support employee productivity and reflect a strong workplace experience.

The position involves partnering closely with external transport vendors and internal workplace stakeholders to shape service quality, manage budgets, improve governance, and keep daily operations running smoothly. You will also help drive sustainable and innovative mobility approaches across the organization.

What You Will Do

• Lead transportation programs and related initiatives for Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with broader operational support for other India locations as needed.
• Ensure transport services are delivered consistently by setting direction, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Improve the commuter experience so that it is smooth, reliable, and aligned with Google’s expectations for employee experience.
• Manage a diverse set of transport partners with a partnership-first approach that encourages innovation and operational resilience.
• Use data, live feedback, and operational oversight to maintain strong service quality and high employee satisfaction.
• Serve as a key point of coordination for workplace services, security, transactions, and project executive teams, while supporting transport operations in APAC and EMEA when required.
• Track progress against program objectives, manage project schedules, and share regular updates on performance, risks, and business impact with leadership.
• Design, implement, and oversee transport service offerings while keeping governance and daily execution under control.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
• At least 15 years of experience in corporate employee transportation operations and services.
• Hands-on experience in building and managing budgets, including capital budget justification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in vendor management and program management.
• Experience in safety and risk management.
