Technical Project Manager

Role Overview

An enterprise SaaS company that supports retail and manufacturing customers is hiring a technically oriented project manager to lead implementation work from launch through go-live. The role sits at the center of customer delivery and requires close coordination with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams, while acting as the main point of contact for technical and business stakeholders.

This position is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule requiring three in-office days each week.

Compensation for the role is a base salary of $80,000 to $90,000, plus bonus.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You will own complex customer-facing implementation projects and help ensure smooth delivery across multiple teams and timelines.

• Run enterprise software implementations from start to finish, keeping scope, schedule, and budget under control.
• Collect both business and technical needs, convert them into practical project plans, and align execution across teams.
• Maintain project schedules, risk logs, progress updates, and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Sales to coordinate milestones and remove blockers.
• Lead meetings, track follow-ups, manage interdependencies, and keep all parties accountable.
• Spot delivery risks early and put mitigation plans in place to protect project timelines.
• Act as the primary lead for customer implementation and onboarding work.
• Support customers through configuration, data gathering, testing, validation, and deployment steps.
• Explain technical requirements and project status clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Improve delivery methods, implementation workflows, and operational processes.
• Create supporting documentation, implementation playbooks, and best-practice materials.
• Review project results and suggest changes that improve customer experience and internal efficiency.

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 2 to 5 years of project management experience, ideally in SaaS, software implementation, enterprise technology, or technical consulting.

• Experience handling several active projects at the same time.
• Strong comfort working with engineers, product managers, and other technical partners.
• Ability to understand system integrations, APIs, data workflows, and software deployment processes.
• Experience turning business needs into technical deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on stakeholder management experience with both clients and internal teams.
• Excellent organization and close attention to detail.
• Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable operating in unclear or fast-moving situations.
• Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and keep work moving independently.
• Preferred background includes SaaS implementation or enterprise software deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methods is a plus.
• Experience with CRM tools, ERP systems, supply chain software, or manufacturing technology is valued.
• Knowledge of HubSpot, Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools is helpful.
• PMP, CAPM, CSM, or comparable certifications are a plus.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite role in New York, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement of three days per week in the office.

The position is focused on customer success through technical project delivery, implementation coordination, and process improvement.
