Its structural engineering team is especially focused on seismic bracing for non-structural building elements across commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, and public sector projects.
Role overview
This Christchurch-based opportunity is for a Structural Engineer with hands-on experience in seismic bracing for non-structural building components. The role contributes to a range of projects across New Zealand, with a strong emphasis on maintaining structural safety and performance in earthquake-prone environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate seismic bracing designs for non-structural elements used in a variety of building projects.
- Visit sites to inspect work and verify that installations align with design requirements and safety expectations.
- Produce technical engineering reports, drawings, and supporting project documentation.
Ideal candidate
The preferred applicant will bring at least 5 years of structural engineering experience, ideally centred on seismic bracing or structural design for commercial buildings. Experience contributing to nationwide projects, a solid grasp of seismic design principles, and confidence using NZ structural analysis software and related engineering tools are all important.
