Role overview
OMNIVISION is looking for a senior-level algorithm engineer focused on image processing for camera applications. The role involves creating and improving image and video processing algorithms that support camera-related products.
What you will do
- Design and develop algorithms for image and video processing in camera use cases.
- Enhance existing solutions to raise capability, image quality, and overall performance.
- Support other teams with algorithm integration, validation, and verification work.
- Contribute to turning hardware into a market-ready product.
- Prepare and maintain algorithm documentation.
- Work with external research partners as needed.
What we are looking for
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on knowledge of image processing algorithm development.
- Strong understanding of digital photography and image quality evaluation.
- Solid programming ability in C and C++.
- Good teamwork, clear communication, and a strong desire to keep learning.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with image and color processing methods such as HDR, AWB, color correction, noise reduction, IR removal or suppression, and CFA demosaicing.
- Background in building, implementing, and deploying image processing algorithms for ISPs or CMOS image sensors.
