Role overview
Chain and Rigging Supplies is seeking a practical, hands-on Service Technician to join the team in Wiri, Auckland. The position involves more than workshop-based work, with regular travel in a fully fitted mobile test workshop across Auckland and the upper North Island.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing lifting equipment and height safety gear for customers in the field. The work combines technical servicing, compliance-focused checks, and customer interaction.
What kind of person is a good fit
This role is suited to someone who enjoys mechanical, practical tasks and can work independently while communicating confidently with customers. A strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance is important.
Experience and licence
Previous exposure to lifting equipment, testing, quality assurance, compliance, or mobile service work would be useful. A current clean New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
Training and additional advantage
Lifting gear experience and LEEA certification are considered advantageous, although training can be provided for the right applicant.
