Role overview

The Senior Executive for Supplier Relations & Operations is responsible for coordinating airline and supplier partnerships, keeping financial workflows on track, and helping Customer Service and AFF teams resolve issues and escalations quickly. The position combines operational control, finance follow-up, and partner management in a busy travel environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle operational problems from start to finish and support escalation closure.
  • Coordinate with airlines and suppliers on refund cases and related operational issues.
  • Act as a bridge between airlines and Customer Service teams when escalation support is required.
  • Manage IROP (Irregular Operations) cases and technology-related issues in coordination with airlines and Customer Service teams.
  • Exchange updates and feedback between airline, Customer Service, and fulfillment teams, while keeping a central record of communication.
  • Monitor balances in all LCC airline IDs and ensure they remain adequately funded.
  • Work with Finance to get timely uploads completed and coordinate airline transfers as needed.
  • Track receivables such as TCS, TDS, GST, and ad hoc amounts from suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with airline and SFF partners.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to keep processes running smoothly.
  • Stay updated on airline policies and maintain process documentation.
  • Prepare SOPs required for efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Organize and run monthly training sessions for the Customer Service team with airlines.
  • Act as the single point of contact for Customer Service for newly onboarded suppliers.
  • Ensure all Customer Service prerequisites, including training and IDs, are completed before operations begin.
  • Maintain an updated record of all IDs and access permissions shared across teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate in any discipline; Commerce or Business Administration is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the travel industry with a strong understanding of air travel operations.
  • Experience with OTA, B2B, or TMC business models.
  • Working knowledge of GDS platforms such as Galileo, Amadeus, and Sabre, as well as LCC airline portals.
  • Exposure to airline operations, GDS, or supplier relations within the travel domain is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role at an OTA or B2B travel aggregator is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with NDC frameworks is preferred.
