Role Overview

This Restaurant Supervisor position is based in Doha, Qatar, at The Pearl Island. It is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary area. The position supports a luxury hospitality environment focused on delivering polished, attentive guest service.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate the team so service runs smoothly and guest expectations are consistently met.
  • Check staff grooming and attire, and correct any issues promptly.
  • Handle opening and closing routines, including preparing supplies and tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, and securing doors.
  • Review storage spaces for orderliness, FIFO compliance, and cleanliness.
  • Carry out regular inventory checks and request supplies when needed.
  • Oversee dining areas for seating flow, service standards, safety, and guest comfort.
  • Complete maintenance-related work requests when repairs are required.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluation, counseling, and discipline activities.
  • Act as a role model and the first contact point for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Follow company policies along with all safety and security procedures, and report incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
  • Finish required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information and company property.
  • Greet guests warmly, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express appreciation sincerely.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
  • Build positive working relationships and help the team work toward shared goals.
  • Meet quality standards and contribute ideas that improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost control.
  • Read and verify information in different formats, including small print, and inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
  • Carry out physical work such as standing, sitting, walking, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds without help, using fine motor skills, moving through tight or elevated spaces, using stairs or ramps, and bending or reaching as needed.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification is required.
