Project Lead

Role OverviewThis position is for a Project Lead based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The role focuses on gathering business needs, converting them into clear functional documentation, coordinating across business and technology teams, and ensuring smooth delivery of projects from requirement stage through production support.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect and validate requirements from Operations, Underwriting, DOPS, Claims, and Sales teams.Create clear and complete business requirement documents (BRDs) for assigned initiatives.Ensure each BRD covers project scope, the current process, the proposed process flow, and the necessary approvals/sign-offs.Work closely with stakeholders to identify the most effective solution for the business need.Manage the QK team so that test cases are prepared and approved by the business team.Act as the link between business teams and the technology team to resolve issues related to new products, defects, change requests, and new functionality.Understand requirements from multiple stakeholders and support requirement negotiation where priorities differ.Handle partner meetings and integration-related discussions, offering workable solutions.Map current-state and future-state business processes.Help business teams visualize future operating models and the changes needed to support them.Serve as the bridge between business users and the IT application team for system-related needs.Support prioritization, operational strengthening, and planning for future business changes.Prepare and drive UAT activities, ensuring end-to-end testing across all impacted systems and scenarios.Ensure UAT begins and concludes within the defined timeline.Develop relevant test cases from both end-user and business viewpoints.Take the lead in spotting opportunities to automate existing processes.Identify process gaps and coordinate system/process changes required to achieve automation goals.Carry out post-production verification to confirm defect-free and stable functioning after go-live.Minimize or avoid change requests after implementation and measure project success through time, quality, and cost.Additional InformationThe job description emphasizes structured planning, stakeholder alignment, business-to-technology coordination, UAT ownership, and successful delivery of projects with minimal post-production issues.Project Success MeasuresTimeQualityCost
