Procurement Manager

Role overview

This is an 11-month initial contract with the possibility of moving into a permanent role. The position sits within a global consulting environment focused on supply chain and operations, and is based in Riyadh. The role centers on leading major procurement transformation assignments for regional and international clients, helping large organisations modernize procurement, control costs, adopt digital tools, and build long-term value.

As a Manager, you will guide transformation programmes from initial strategy through delivery, working closely with senior client leaders and coordinating multidisciplinary consulting teams. The role also contributes to business growth, proposal development, and practice-building initiatives.

Key work areas

• Lead procurement transformation programmes end to end for clients across the region and globally.
• Advise senior and executive stakeholders on procurement strategy and operating model design.
• Deliver work across spend management and cost reduction, strategic sourcing and category management, procurement operating model changes, procurement digitisation, procurement operations, and ESG/sustainable procurement.
• Manage relationships with executive-level and C-suite stakeholders.
• Support and lead proposals, RFP responses, and business development efforts.
• Present recommendations at an executive level to support major strategic decisions.
• Coach, manage, and develop consulting teams.
• Contribute to thought leadership and the continued growth of the practice.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced procurement transformation consultant with a strong history of delivering complex consulting engagements. The role calls for someone who can operate confidently with senior stakeholders, manage multiple workstreams, and communicate clearly in high-pressure client settings.

Additional requirements and preferences

• At least 5 years of experience with a Tier 1 consulting firm.
• Demonstrated background in procurement transformation programmes.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: procurement digital transformation, operating model design, third-party spend management, ESG and sustainable procurement, or supply chain transformation.
• Experience overseeing several project teams at the same time.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including exposure to C-level executives.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Commercial awareness and experience supporting proposals and business development.
• A bachelor's degree with a strong academic track record.
• Arabic language skills are helpful but not mandatory.
