Job Overview
The company is seeking a meticulous Planning Engineer to support project delivery by building, tracking, and refreshing schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating with project stakeholders to keep work aligned with deadlines and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project schedules and revise them as project requirements and milestones change.
- Track actual progress, flag delays and risks, and assess how they may affect completion dates.
- Work with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to gather progress updates and status information.
- Prepare progress summaries, dashboards, and other planning and control documents.
- Review project performance and suggest recovery actions and improvement measures when needed.
- Assist with resource planning, manpower distribution, and broader project coordination tasks.
- Make sure planning work follows project goals, internal procedures, and client expectations.
- Take part in project meetings and provide support for project controls and reporting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in project planning, preferably on construction projects.
- Solid understanding of planning methods, scheduling tools, and progress tracking practices.
- Hands-on ability to use Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and similar planning applications.
- Experience creating project reports, analysing progress, and preparing recovery plans.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership is preferred or required.
