Role overview

This full-time Merchandiser position is based in Lucknow and follows a hybrid work model, giving some flexibility to work from home. The role is responsible for managing orders from sampling and costing through production coordination and final shipment, while keeping quality, timing, and buyer expectations on track.

What you will do

You will stay in regular contact with domestic and international buyers, maintain and update tech packs, monitor approvals, and keep time-and-action schedules moving. The role also requires close coordination with design, production, and sourcing teams, along with tracking fabric and trim progress and stepping in early to solve production or quality concerns.

In addition, you will review sales and order patterns, assist with basic marketing and line presentation work, maintain accurate records, and help improve merchandising workflows over time.

This position requires a collaborative, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach. The work is hybrid, and the role is centered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer handling ability for working with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Experience in sales or retail, ideally in apparel or fashion, with an understanding of customer preferences and ordering behavior.
• Basic marketing knowledge to support product storytelling, range presentations, and brand-aligned communication.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills to handle multiple styles, deadlines, and tasks simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, tech packs, fabrics, and trims; export merchandising exposure will be an added advantage.
• Comfort using MS Office, especially Excel, along with digital tools for tracking work and communication.
• A bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textiles, Business, or a similar field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup in Lucknow.
