Role Overview
This position is focused on supervising mechanical maintenance activities for equipment and plant systems at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). The aim is to keep operations safe, dependable, and efficient while meeting strict nuclear industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and supervise mechanical maintenance work in line with Conduct of Maintenance (CoM) requirements.
- Prepare, examine, and revise maintenance procedures, program documents, and work instructions as needed.
- Assist with fault diagnosis, testing activities, and improvement efforts that help enhance plant performance.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors while ensuring they follow quality expectations and safety rules.
- Provide support during outages, emergency situations, audits, and inspections conducted by QA, FANR, WANO, INPO, and IAEA.
- Keep the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and Operations Management System (OMS) records current and accurate.
- Encourage ongoing improvement, strong safety practices, and alignment with company standards.
Qualifications
- A diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Applicants should bring at least 7 years of relevant experience, including exposure to power plant and nuclear environments.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, supervisory practices, and nuclear maintenance processes is essential.
- Understanding of nuclear plant design, licensing obligations, and regulatory compliance is needed.
Work Location
This role is based in the United Arab Emirates at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) and is an on-site position.
