Logistics Executive

About the Role

Givaudan is looking for a Logistics Executive in Bengaluru to support the movement of Fragrance and Oral Care compounds across inbound and outbound channels. The position focuses on ensuring timely deliveries, proper documentation, regulatory adherence, and smooth coordination with internal teams as well as external logistics partners.

Inbound Logistics

• Coordinate with global freight forwarders and local Customs House Agents to clear import shipments by air and sea without delay.
• Manage all import-related paperwork and keep digital records organized and accessible.
• Work with clearing agents, transporters, internal teams, and banks to resolve issues and accelerate customs clearance.
• Submit Bills of Entry and supporting documents to Finance for vendor payment processing.
• Handle DDC consignments by providing the required documentation to the Drug Controller for NoC approval on time.
• Ensure all import activities comply with customs rules and other regulatory requirements.

Outbound Logistics

• Plan and execute export and domestic dispatches in SAP in line with GI dates.
• Prepare, review, and manage export documentation.
• Coordinate with banks for document submission under Letter of Credit arrangements.
• Liaise with customs and other statutory authorities to maintain compliance for outbound movements.
• Manage outbound transporters so consignments move on time from the factory to the port or airport.
• Track shipments until they reach overseas customers and keep stakeholders updated.

Payments, Coordination, and Reporting

• Process invoices from CHAs, freight forwarders, and transporters to support timely payments.
• Partner with Finance to ensure vendor settlements are completed on the due date.
• Coordinate with Customer Care, Planning, QC, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to confirm shipment readiness.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports covering freight expenses, lead times, shipment volumes, and open pending cases.

Improvement and Growth

• Contribute ideas and actions that improve logistics processes and reduce costs.
• Keep up to date with new tools, systems, and regulatory developments.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a university degree in any specialization and around 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience. This role is suitable for professionals with a solid understanding of import and export documentation, strong communication skills, SAP ERP knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
