Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-focused Junior Data Analyst who can help with reporting, business intelligence, and decisions backed by data. This position is suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting patterns, and turning raw data into practical insights that support company goals.

The role involves gathering information from multiple sources, preparing it for analysis, checking its accuracy, and presenting clear findings to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, structure, clean, and verify information from both internal and external sources.
• Study datasets to uncover trends, patterns, unusual activity, and possible business opportunities.
• Create reports, dashboards, and charts that help teams make better decisions.
• Track important KPIs and day-to-day operational metrics.
• Help build and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reporting workflows.
• Run quality checks to keep data accurate, consistent, and reliable.
• Support forecasting, planning, and performance-review activities.
• Work with different teams to understand reporting needs and business goals.
• Share insights and recommendations through presentations and written reports.
• Record data-handling methods, processes, and reporting steps.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong reasoning skills with the ability to solve problems using data.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and analysis features.
• Basic understanding of SQL and how databases work.
• Ability to read data and explain findings in a simple, clear way.
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Well-organized with solid time management.
• Able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and methods.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Exposure to data work through internships, academic projects, research, reporting tasks, or related assignments is helpful.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or comparable tools is a plus.
• Experience with dashboards, reporting automation, or business intelligence systems is preferred.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting methods, and good data visualization practices is beneficial.
