Infrastructure Support Specialist

Role overview

GITS Solutions is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain and support enterprise infrastructure in a way that keeps systems highly available and operationally stable. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and follows a hybrid working arrangement.

What you will do

• Take ownership of Ubuntu Linux server administration and ongoing support.
• Work with Podman containers, including troubleshooting and day-to-day management.
• Maintain and support the Slurm workload scheduler.
• Keep a close watch on infrastructure health and respond to live production incidents.
• Diagnose and resolve network-related problems across TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and VPN environments.
• Carry out regular maintenance activities, apply patches, and tune systems for better performance.
• Work closely with application and DevOps teams to support smooth operations.
• Record system settings, operational steps, and support procedures clearly for future reference.

Experience needed

The ideal candidate should bring 7–8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure support, with a strong background in Linux administration and production support.
