Role Overview

The Fashion Group is looking for a seasoned Human Resources Operations Manager to oversee HR operations across the Oceania region. This is a permanent, full-time position based at the Sydney head office and reports to the Head of Human Resources, Oceania.

The position has responsibility for payroll, benefits administration, statutory and internal reporting, and support for brands including Celine, Loewe, Fendi, Kenzo, and the Shared Services Centre. The role also requires driving process enhancements and working closely with the regional team to improve HR systems and service delivery.

Payroll and Benefits

  • Direct payroll and benefits administration for Oceania, ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant, and completed on time.
  • Manage statutory reporting, coordinate with external vendors such as insurance brokers, and support both internal and external audit activities.
  • Address employee issues related to pay and benefits, and oversee employee purchase/sales requests as well as benefit programs.

HR Operations Support

  • Lead the full onboarding process, including preparing contracts and arranging system access so new hires have a smooth first day.
  • Handle offboarding tasks such as exit paperwork and deactivating system access.
  • Support HR business partners with day-to-day operations, maintain employee files, and serve as the main contact for HR operations queries, including policy and procedure guidance.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to roll out HR services, processes, and policies.

HR Systems, Compliance, and Governance

  • Oversee HRIS activity, work with the regional team on system issues, and maintain accurate, consistent data across HR platforms.
  • Introduce and refresh HR policies and procedures to improve the employee experience and stay aligned with legal requirements.
  • Protect data privacy and security standards, and regularly review and update employee handbooks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with HR service providers.
  • Review HR processes continuously and identify opportunities to automate and simplify them.
  • Assist with HR data gathering and consolidation, and from time to time support the creation of HR dashboards.
  • Take on other ad hoc projects as required.

About You

You should be a university graduate in human resources management, business management, or another related field, with at least 8 years of relevant regional HR operations or HR shared services experience. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role is also required.

Hands-on payroll processing experience in Oceania is essential, along with solid knowledge of employment ordinances and payroll practices across the region. The role also calls for strong communication and a service-oriented approach, with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.

You will need a strong understanding of HR processes, a willingness to be actively involved in operational work, and excellent numerical ability. Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are also important.
