Role overview
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Housekeeper to support the Emergency Department. This role suits someone who is caring, compassionate, adaptable and well organised, with a positive approach to change and flexibility.
You will work independently to keep the clinical environment clean, tidy and safe, with a strong focus on detail and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness to help reduce the risk of cross infection for patients, staff and visitors.
Key duties
The postholder will help monitor and sustain cleaning standards across the department while protecting patient dignity and privacy at all times.
- Carry out regular cleaning quality checks in assigned areas in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness Framework.
- Respond promptly and effectively to spillages.
- Perform specialist cleaning for surfaces and furnishings.
- Make sure cleaning supplies and protective clothing are available, suitable for the task and used correctly.
- Replenish alcohol gel dispensers, paper towels and soap to support hand hygiene and infection prevention.
