About Us
Located in scenic Whanganui, Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation committed to delivering comprehensive health and wellbeing services to whānau across the Whanganui area and neighboring districts. Te Waipuna Health serves as the General Practice division, catering to an enrolled community of 4,700 individuals across two practices. We provide a fresh, remodeled health centre in a supportive, adaptable setting focused on accessible, affordable care.
Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative General Practitioner Lead responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership to Medical Practitioners. This role involves fostering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare in partnership with the Practice Manager, aiming for efficient and effective service delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses robust clinical and service capabilities to maximize experience in healthcare delivery
- Exceptional communication skills
- Capability to provide health services to a broad demographic within the community
- Preferably holds Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Highly organized and adept in problem solving across multiple domains
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, support, and motivate diverse clinical teams
- Dedicated to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in health service contexts
