About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Flow Controller to ensure the seamless operation of automated conveyor and parcel handling systems. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency by addressing parcel jams, overseeing conveyor performance, and guaranteeing continuous workflow in a dynamic logistics setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance of conveyor and parcel handling systems during active operations.
- Resolve blockages and obstructions in the parcel flow to maintain system efficiency.
- React swiftly to system alerts, warnings, and operational disruptions.
- Diagnose the underlying causes of interruptions in conveyor and parcel movement.
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to the relevant departments.
- Conduct fundamental mechanical troubleshooting as per training guidelines.
- Uphold a safe, tidy, and well-organized workspace.
- Contribute to uninterrupted operations by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to minimize system downtime.
Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving capabilities.
- Prior experience with conveyor systems, warehouse automation, logistics operations, material handling systems, or comparable environments.
- Capacity to work autonomously and respond effectively under stressful conditions.
- Adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Effective communication abilities and a collaborative spirit for teamwork.
- Readiness to work various shifts as required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in logistics and distribution centers.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies.
- Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS).
- Experience with sortation systems.
- Background in Airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS).
- Involvement in e-commerce fulfillment operations.
