Finance Controller

Overview

This role is for a Finance Controller engaged through an outsourced arrangement for a 12-month contract in Abu Dhabi. The compensation offered is up to AED 15,000, and the position calls for 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in cost control and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project budgets from start to finish across the full delivery cycle.
• Track project spending closely, covering labor, materials, and overheads.
• Review budget differences, diagnose the reasons for overspending, and flag cost issues.
• Put forward and execute practical measures to reduce costs and enhance project profitability.
• Compile financial statements, cost breakdowns, and management-level presentations.
• Assess profit and loss performance and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Build revenue forecasts and contribute to wider financial planning efforts.
• Watch sales pipelines and evaluate related financial risks and growth opportunities.
• Work with Project Management, Sales, Operations, and other teams to keep reporting accurate.
• Provide financial analysis and insights that support business decisions.
• Use project management or cost control systems such as Primavera or Deltek, which would be considered an added advantage.
• Bring strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and project cost oversight.
