Overview
This role is for a Civil Construction Estimator focused on highway and infrastructure work in the Quad Cities area. The position supports a civil construction team that delivers roads, highways, underground utilities, public works, earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving, and underground pipe installation projects.
Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year.

Key responsibilities
The estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for bids involving roadwork, paving, pipe installation, and earthmoving projects. The role includes reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, estimating materials, labor, and equipment, and developing written proposals and budgets.
Required experience and qualifications
Candidates should bring at least 3 years of estimating experience in highway or civil infrastructure work. A solid grasp of blueprint reading and civil sitework is required, along with strong communication and negotiation skills. The role also requires the ability to travel to job sites when needed.
Preferred background
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
