Role overview
This is a full-time overseas teaching opportunity for people who want to build a career in education while gaining international exposure. The position is aimed at first-time teachers, recent graduates, and professionals moving into teaching. Full training, guided lesson plans, and ongoing support are provided, so prior classroom experience is not required.
What the role involves
- Teach English to children and teenagers between 3 and 16 years old in an engaging, interactive classroom environment.
- Use the company’s established curriculum and digital teaching tools to deliver lively lessons.
- Offer helpful feedback that supports students in improving confidence and English ability.
- Join school activities, cultural events, and programs that encourage student participation.
Training, growth, and support
- New hires receive comprehensive induction training and continuous mentoring.
- Teaching resources and lesson materials are prepared in advance to make delivery easier.
- The role includes in-class coaching, career development support, and access to distance learning courses such as Level 6 Trinity College CertPT and DELTM.
- TEFL certificate support and broader skill development are part of the long-term growth pathway.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive pay package with a performance bonus available after 6 months.
- 21 days of paid leave in total, made up of 10 days of paid leave and 11 statutory holidays.
- Flight allowance is provided.
- International health insurance is included on a co-paid basis.
- Airport pickup support is arranged.
- Legal Z work visa sponsorship and work permit support are provided.
- Up to 2 weeks of sponsored hotel accommodation is included at the start of the assignment.
- English 1 also organizes social and cultural activities and offers free Mandarin Chinese lessons.
Important terms
The hotel stay for the first two weeks is treated as a sponsorship benefit after successful completion of the first-year contract. Expenses related to the sponsored legal Z work visa are reimbursed.
