Role overview

An established healthcare facility in Cork is looking to appoint a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician to support its Facilities team. This is a permanent, long-term role in a controlled, highly regulated environment, where you will help keep essential building services and electrical infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as well as urgent fault-finding and repairs across electrical systems and building services.
Service and diagnose issues with electrical distribution networks, generators, UPS units, HVAC and air-conditioning equipment, and related plant.
Attend equipment breakdowns and take part in the site’s on-call arrangement.
Work with external contractors and collaborate with colleagues across other maintenance disciplines.
Record maintenance activity accurately in CMMS and BMS platforms.
Carry out all duties in accordance with health, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

Fully qualified electrician with a completed apprenticeship or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Practical experience in facilities, building services, or general maintenance work.
Solid understanding of electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, and HVAC equipment.
Prior exposure to Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
A dependable, hands-on approach with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
