Cyber Security Specialist

Role overview

Watania Steel is looking for a seasoned Cyber Security Specialist who can reinforce its security posture and help safeguard important business and operational technology systems. This role calls for someone with hands-on experience in identifying threats, handling incidents, and managing security risks in large enterprise settings.

What you will do

• Keep watch over cybersecurity events and respond to threats affecting both IT and operational technology environments.
• Carry out vulnerability reviews and assist with incident handling and recovery efforts.
• Administer security platforms such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
• Assess security risks and put appropriate mitigation actions in place.
• Help maintain adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and established best practices.
• Contribute to identity and access management activities as well as security awareness programs.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Network Security.
• Solid working knowledge of network protection, OT security, security monitoring, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Practical exposure to cloud security tools and platforms, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISM, or GSEC are an advantage.
• Strong spoken and written English skills are essential.
• The role also requires good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.
