Role overview

KBR is hiring a Custodian for its National Security Solutions team in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This position supports mission-critical operations by helping maintain clean, safe, orderly, and functional work areas within a high-security environment. The role is contingent on contract award and is based onsite.

What this role involves

• Keeping work areas supplied by tracking, maintaining, and replenishing cleaning materials, consumables, and equipment.
• Carrying out general housekeeping and cleanup tasks as required.
• Following all safety procedures and using the required personal protective equipment.
• Taking on additional tasks assigned by facility leadership or other authorized personnel.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is a reliable and detail-oriented custodian who takes pride in maintaining a well-kept environment. You should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, and able to handle routine cleaning duties while supporting safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Must be a citizen of the United States or Australia.
• An active US Top Secret/SCI clearance or Australian PV clearance is required.
• High school completion or an equivalent qualification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of janitorial or housekeeping experience is necessary.

Preferred qualifications

• Certificate in Health Support Services.
• Certificate in Hospitality.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• White Card.
• Food handling or hygiene certification.
• Health and Safety Representative training.

Work location and arrangement

This role is based in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre site with about 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The position is expected to be fully onsite.
