The Role

PopSockets is seeking a Creative Copywriter to embody the brand's voice across all communication touchpoints. This mid-level contract role requires 3–5 years of brand or agency experience and offers significant potential for conversion to a full-time position. The copywriter will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and product leaders within the Brand Creative team, crafting clever, clear, and distinctively PopSockets copy for digital, physical, and other media. This position is based in Boulder, CO.

What You'll Own

  • Campaign & Digital Copy: Develop copy for digital channels including email, paid social, display ads, and website content. Write product detail page (PDP) copy for PopSockets.com and wholesale platforms, incorporating SEO best practices. Create compelling paid ad copy for performance campaigns that balances brand voice with conversion goals.
  • Video & Motion Scripts: Script short-form social videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts), online video advertising (OLV), and brand films. Write voiceover scripts, supers, and on-screen text for motion and animated content. Develop creative frameworks and talking-point briefs for influencer and creator collaborations.
  • Physical & Retail Copy: Craft engaging packaging copy that clearly communicates product benefits and brand personality. Write copy for retail point-of-purchase fixtures, in-store signage, tradeshow collateral, and printed brand materials. Create copy for wholesale and retail partner toolkits, including sell-in copy, co-branded asset copy, and brand guidance.
  • UX & E-Commerce Copy: Write website micro-copy such as CTAs, navigation labels, onboarding flows, checkout messaging, error states, and confirmation copy for PopSockets.com. Develop transactional and lifecycle email copy (order confirmations, shipping updates, loyalty communications) that maintains brand voice in functional contexts.
  • Brand Voice, Social Partnership & Product Naming: Develop and maintain the brand voice system across all channels, defining tone, language principles, and messaging frameworks. Collaborate with the Social team to bring the brand voice to life at the post and community level, providing copy direction and reviewing key content. Create and update tone-of-voice documentation, channel voice guides, and copy examples. Develop product names collaboratively with brand, product, and legal teams, balancing creativity, strategy, and brand voice. Ensure brand standards are upheld across all copy outputs and help evolve the voice as the brand grows.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of copywriting experience within a brand, agency, or in-house creative team, with a preference for consumer products or e-commerce backgrounds.
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing campaign concepts, product copy, social media content, and scriptwriting or video work.
  • A strong command of brand voice with the ability to adapt tone across various formats, channels, and audiences while maintaining consistency.
