Dineout currently operates in 34 cities in India and helps users save up to 40% on dining bills when they pay through the dine-out feature on the Swiggy app.

Ways of Working

This is an office/field role. Employees are required to work from the office every day from their respective base location.

Role Summary

The Cluster Manager will lead on-ground onboarding and account management activities, regularly visit key accounts, understand partner priorities and growth plans, address objections and operational concerns, and support the frontline team in achieving targets. The role also involves reviewing team performance on a regular basis and giving timely input so that execution stays on track.

Key Responsibilities

The role covers partner relationship management, performance tracking, team guidance, and coordination with internal stakeholders.

Account and Partner Relationship Management

  • Review the profit and loss of major restaurant partners so they can better understand growth opportunities, gaps, revenue expectations, and their investment capacity.
  • Define and revise commercial terms between Swiggy and partner accounts, both existing and new, including seasonal or mutually agreed changes.
  • Share actionable insights that help partners improve performance by using the right growth levers.
  • Meet competitor top accounts to understand competitive moves and suggest appropriate counter-strategies.

Data Interpretation and Performance Management

  • Monitor daily salesmate activity and physical meetings completed by each sales point of contact.
  • Track weekly account growth or decline at portfolio and city level, and identify root causes for changes in performance.
  • Review outlets with low counter share on the platform and build improvement plans with the sales team to bring them to target levels.
  • Track daily results against key account metrics such as Ads RPO.

Team Management

  • Present the execution plan to the team with clear timelines and measurable checkpoints.
  • Ensure the team delivers the initiatives needed to achieve revenue line items such as advertisements, RPO targets, and marketing activity through continuous monitoring.
  • Stay actively involved in field execution and coach the team on expectations and best practices.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with partner support teams on items such as discount changes and restaurant display pages.
  • Coordinate with sales operations for competition comparison data and other event or festival-related inputs.
  • Partner with finance on payout reconciliation, GST-related queries, and issues such as amounts not being credited to partner accounts.

Functional Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Dineout offerings and the growth drivers behind them.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operating hours, Ads revenue per order, commission revenue per order, and related components such as average order value.
  • Familiarity with the partner app and its user interface.
  • Ability to work with reporting and dashboard tools such as CMS, Power BI, Compass, and Salesmate.
  • Understanding of conversion funnels and transaction patterns across accounts on a week-wise, month-wise, and day-wise basis, along with denial rates and supply metrics relative to competitors.

Required Profile

Applicants should be graduates with 4 to 6 years of field sales experience. The role requires fluency in the local language and working knowledge of English. Candidates should be comfortable with e-commerce operations and online marketing channels, communicate clearly, bring a positive and persuasive presence, and show a strong sales orientation. Analytical ability and solid Excel skills are important, along with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.

The role also calls for flexibility, since restaurant owners do not follow standard 9-to-5 working hours. Leadership and influencing skills are important, including the ability to build and use a broad network of contacts across internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should be able to plan work effectively, adapt quickly to change, bring creative ideas, and take initiative to help the business grow.

Equal Opportunity Statement

All qualified applicants will be considered fairly for employment, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
