J D Wetherspoon is hiring a Cleaner for The Tremenheere pub in Penzance. The position is focused on keeping every part of the pub spotless so guests enjoy a high standard of cleanliness throughout their visit. The role is full-time, based on site, and the pay is £12.91 per hour.

What the role involves

You will be responsible for cleaning the pub thoroughly and maintaining excellent standards across all customer and back-of-house areas. The pub operates early mornings through late evenings, so the position includes flexible shift patterns such as mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes.

Main duties

• Keep customer areas, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff spaces, and outdoor areas clean and presentable.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties in line with standard operating procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely.
• Track stock levels of cleaning materials and inform the manager when supplies need replenishing.
• Report maintenance issues and pest-control concerns to the manager on duty.
• Interact courteously with customers by greeting them and saying thank you and goodbye.
• Complete induction, job-specific, and refresher training, while contributing to ongoing improvements.

Working pattern
