Role overview
The Palmerston North branch is looking for a Class 5 Linehaul Driver to support customer deliveries. This position plays an important part in the safe and timely movement of freight so delivery targets are met.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, from 7:00pm to 4:30am.
Key duties
- Safely load and unload freight manually or using a forklift when needed.
- Handle goods carefully to prevent any damage.
- Scan every item you handle and ensure all freight is properly recorded.
- Complete deliveries and pickups on schedule and in full.
- Follow all safety practices and workplace procedures without exception.
- Drive in a safe, lawful, and compliant manner at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained inside and out.
Required experience and qualifications
- A current, clean New Zealand Class 5 driver licence.
- Dangerous Goods endorsement.
- Forklift licence with OSH certificate.
- A customer-first attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior driving experience on New Zealand roads.
