Role overview
This role leads and coordinates the human resources, finance, and administration work for Pilbara Population Health. It also oversees the service’s physical assets, including property, equipment, vehicles, and information and communication technology, while contributing as a member of the Pilbara Population Health leadership group.
Appointment details
The vacancy can be offered either as a permanent full-time role or as a fixed-term full-time appointment, with the option of extension and/or future permanency.
Eligibility to apply
For fixed-term appointments, candidates must hold a valid working visa. For permanent appointments, applicants must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a visa that allows them to live and work in Australia indefinitely.
Screening and pre-employment checks
Because this is a position of trust and responsibility within WA Health, applicants may need to complete criminal record screening and integrity checks as part of recruitment. Depending on the role, a working with children check and a pre-employment health assessment may also be required. Referees may be asked to comment on the applicant’s integrity and ethical conduct. Any adverse information will be considered during the recruitment process rather than leading to automatic exclusion.
Employment offers are conditional on a satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA), which confirms the candidate can perform the inherent requirements of the position. If the PEHA outcome is not satisfactory, the offer may be withdrawn.
Recruitment process notes
This selection process may be used not only for the current vacancy, but also for similar roles across the health service. If the selected candidate declines the offer or later vacates the role, another suitable applicant from this process may be appointed. These arrangements remain valid for 12 months from the date the recruitment decision is approved.
