About the Role
This remote internship is with a confidential, high-growth startup that is looking for a sharp, detail-focused Business Analytics Intern. The role offers direct exposure to founding teams and practical experience in turning raw data into actionable business decisions in a fast-moving environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Gather, prepare, and examine both structured and unstructured datasets.
- Run exploratory analysis to uncover trends, relationships, and patterns.
- Create and update dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.
- Use SQL to pull, filter, and transform data efficiently.
- Help define key performance indicators and business metrics.
- Work alongside product, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate findings in a clear, practical, and decision-ready format.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in, or recently finished, a program in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, or comparable tools.
- Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with real datasets or analytics-related projects.
- Understanding of business metrics and how performance is tracked.
- Exposure to A/B testing or statistical methods.
- Comfort working in startup or similarly fast-paced settings.
