Role Overview

This position is for a barber working from the employer’s physical location in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The job is fully on-site, so remote work is not available.

Language Requirement

English is required for this role.

Education

A trades certificate or diploma in another trade is required.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Duties

• Arrange client appointments.
• Cut and shape hair based on each client’s instructions or preferred style.
• Wash clients’ hair.
• Shave and trim beards and moustaches.
• Deliver additional hair treatments such as waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to create colour, highlights, or streaks.
• Clean and style wigs and hairpieces.
• Trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• Recommend hairstyles that suit a client’s features and preferences.
• Handle receptionist tasks.
• Track, maintain, and place orders for supplies.
