About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships, and generate revenue within a dynamic environment. This is a hands-on position for individuals who excel at initiating collaborations, exploring partnerships, and achieving tangible results.
You will collaborate closely with the founding team to expand partnerships across brands, universities, and corporations, playing a crucial role in scaling the company into a comprehensive talent ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with, and present proposals to, potential partners and collaborators.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including founders, C-suite executives, business owners, HR leaders, talent acquisition heads, university representatives, institutional contacts, startup founders, and ecosystem partners.
- Effectively present recruitment, employer branding, and content solutions.
- Develop partnership proposals, media kits, and customized client solutions.
- Manage the complete business development lifecycle from lead generation through to deal closure, emphasizing consistency and long-term value.
- Ensure CRM data accuracy, implement strategic follow-ups, and take ownership of revenue targets.
- Oversee end-to-end revenue generation for the company.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and proactive in taking ownership.
- Proficiency in outreach, pitching, and negotiation with senior-level stakeholders.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment, characterized by rapid iterations, swift decision-making, and high accountability.
- A genuine interest in media, talent acquisition, startups, or the technology sector.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Possess 3 to 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally within the media, recruitment, public relations, SaaS, B2B, HRTech, or startup sectors.
- Solid understanding of digital media, brand collaborations, or B2B partnership strategies.
- Proven track record of building trust, successfully closing deals, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Previous experience in a high-growth or early-stage company is advantageous.
- Experience engaging with C-suite executives, HR/TA leaders, founders, or employer branding teams.
- Familiarity with professional networking platforms, media marketing, and sales approaches centered on compelling narratives.
