Assistant Storekeeper

Role overview

James L Williams Middle East is looking for a careful and dependable Assistant Storekeeper to support its Stores function. The position focuses on day-to-day store operations for active Data Centre projects across the UAE and KSA. Core responsibilities

• Manage the routine activities of the project site store on a daily basis.
• Check all incoming goods and confirm them against purchase orders and delivery paperwork.
• Keep inventory records accurate and up to date.
• Store, label, and protect materials properly in line with project requirements and HSE rules.
• Release materials only against approved requisitions and document each movement correctly.
• Keep the warehouse or store area tidy, well-arranged, and safe.
• Flag any damaged, outdated, or unusable materials and escalate them as needed.
• Track tools, equipment, lifting gear, calibration certificates, and fixed assets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the MEP construction industry.
• Prior experience managing tools, equipment, and fixed asset records.
• Strong working knowledge of documentation processes and inventory systems.
• Physically capable of working in a project store or warehouse setting.
• Able to read and write in English; Hindi-speaking candidates are preferred.
• Solid understanding of safe material storage methods and workplace safety practices.
• Open to working in the UAE and KSA based on business needs.
