Role Overview
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in running the retail store or outlet. The role calls for strong judgment, leadership, and people-management skills, along with a customer-first approach and the ability to keep day-to-day operations organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Support store leadership by guiding staff, program participants, donors, and customers so that production targets, quality standards, and sales goals are achieved.
- Help maintain smooth store operations and ensure the location runs efficiently.
- Promote and reinforce organizational policies and procedures so that both staff behavior and store presentation reflect a positive image inside and outside the organization.
- Use strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and management abilities to support the team.
- Maintain a customer-focused and detail-oriented approach in daily work.
Working Schedule and Travel
The schedule will vary. Availability is required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Local travel may also be required.
Compensation
The external hiring range for this position is $18.08 to $19.16 per hour.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of management experience.
- Internal applicants may qualify with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of experience in a Goodwill Team Leader role.
- Experience in retail is preferred, including backgrounds in fast food, resale, or manufacturing/production.
