Role overview

This position focuses on keeping flying operations running safely and efficiently. The air traffic controller serves as the operational link between the company and government bodies, helping secure flight permissions, registration certificates, and any other required documentation.

Core duties

  • Notify the relevant authorities before and after daily flight activity.
  • Act as the main contact point for the Operations Team at all sites during operating hours.
  • Track live operational factors such as weather, military activity, special events, and emergency situations that may affect UAV operations.
  • Spot possible risks or concerns from an air traffic control perspective and escalate them as needed.
  • Monitor the validity of flight permits and aircraft registration records, ensuring renewals are completed on time.
  • Share accurate, timely information with all concerned parties to support coordination and decision-making.
  • Ensure operations comply with government requirements as well as internal company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare daily flight reports for all operational sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date totals for monthly flying hours by area.
  • Keep pilot flying hours accurately recorded and updated.
  • Operate surveillance, access-control, and communication systems used by the Air Traffic Control function.
  • Compile and respond to information received from the Operations Team, managers, executives, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with government entities and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Review incoming information from UAVs, sensors, and related sources.
  • Evaluate data relevance and turn findings into practical input for decision-makers.
