Role Overview
This position is responsible for leading and supporting field sales staff at the Itarsi branch, with the goal of driving business growth, improving sales productivity, and strengthening advisor performance. The role combines team leadership, branch-level business management, advisor engagement, compliance oversight, and local sales activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a strong base of quality resources by hiring suitable advisors and supporting their activation and performance.
- Track and improve recruitment, activation, policy issuance, premium generation, and overall business delivery for the assigned field sales team.
- Safeguard branch profitability while maintaining healthy business outcomes.
- Monitor advisor contests, club performance, and related incentive programs.
- Identify learning gaps and coordinate training support wherever required.
- Share effective sales approaches and best practices with the team.
- Coach, mentor, and support field sales members through observation and demonstration of recruitment and sales conversations.
- Maintain accurate reports on introduction business and issued business.
- Introduce engagement activities at branch level to keep the team active and productive.
- Review business indicators regularly and take corrective action when performance trends require intervention.
- Set goals with the team so field sales members can improve productivity and progress to the next level of performance.
- Execute agency initiatives that raise sales efficiency across the field sales force.
- Ensure disciplined daily execution of the sales process through planning and review.
- Motivate the team to improve sales progression and raise performance standards.
- Support activities that help field sales members maximize incentive earnings.
- Work toward renewal targets and overall business quality for the branch.
- Keep attrition within benchmark levels and maintain business quality to support renewals.
- Build strong working relationships with agency managers, internal departments, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stay in close touch with advisors and ensure they receive timely updates on products, schemes, clubs, and other communications through the field sales team.
- Visit top advisors at regular intervals to strengthen relationships and business engagement.
- Plan and execute local sales promotion efforts to help the team achieve targets.
- Identify promotion opportunities in the operating area and create new campaign ideas when needed.
- Drive contests and other branch-level sales initiatives.
- Ensure risk management expectations are followed in line with company policy.
- Take responsibility for the market conduct of assigned agency managers and their advisor teams.
- Ensure business activities are carried out in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Perform basic screening and sanity checks to help ensure applications are healthy and appropriate.
- Communicate compliance norms clearly to all relevant employees.
- Track deviations, define deviation measures, and initiate suitable corrective action.
- Coach team members and strengthen overall people capability within the branch.
- Develop future leaders and build a strong second line of leadership within the branch field sales team.
Additional Information
The role requires regular team management, field-level coordination, business monitoring, advisor relationship handling, and close attention to compliance, productivity, and branch profitability.
