Role overview
We are looking for a local delivery driver to join a busy team in Ipswich. This position offers varied route work, regular customer contact, and the chance to play an important part in making sure deliveries arrive on time and service standards stay high. The contract is for 45 hours per week, arranged as any 5 days from 7, so weekend shifts will be part of the pattern. Overtime may also be available.
What the job involves
- Driving locally and supporting the delivery operation with dependable, customer-focused service.
- Loading goods at the branch and unloading them safely at customer sites.
- Checking that delivery paperwork is completed correctly and accurately.
- Helping customers keep their shelves stocked with the products they need.
What you need for the role
- A Category C / 18T driving licence.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
- Delivery driving experience is preferred.
- Confidence handling manual deliveries.
- Strong people skills and a positive approach to customer service.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
