Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Technician position is based in Ramarama, Auckland. The role involves carrying out routine technical work such as checking, servicing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, tools, or vehicles in line with company standards and safety requirements. You will diagnose issues, complete regular servicing tasks, test systems, and keep clear records of work completed. The position also includes helping identify parts, assisting with stock checks, and working with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork are important for delivering quality results and supporting customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, tools, or vehicles according to established procedures.
- Identify faults, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Carry out scheduled servicing and functional testing of systems and components.
- Record work completed accurately and within appropriate timeframes.
- Assist with identifying parts, checking inventory, and supporting stock-related tasks.
- Coordinate with supervisors to organize job priorities and meet required deadlines.
- Work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Practical technical ability with hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, or servicing of equipment, tools, or vehicles.
- Capability to interpret technical manuals, instructions, and work orders correctly.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices and commitment to safe working methods.
- Good troubleshooting ability and sound problem-solving skills under time pressure.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong organization skills for handling multiple tasks, keeping records, and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Physical fitness to carry out manual duties, including lifting, standing, and using tools for long periods.
- A trade certificate, technical qualification, or equivalent experience is preferred but not essential, depending on your background.
- Prior experience in a workshop, service, or technical setting in or near Ramarama is an advantage.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to the Ramarama site may be required depending on operational needs.
