Store Manager

Role overview

As the Store Manager at a ZARA store in Chennai, you will oversee the daily functioning of the store and ensure that customer experience, product availability, team performance, store presentation, and budget control are all aligned with business goals.

Customer service management

You will be expected to understand customer needs in advance, remain actively present on the sales floor, and handle complaints and product returns correctly and professionally.

Product management

You will manage store inventory to support the sales targets assigned by leadership, communicate important product-related information, place orders effectively, participate in merchandise receiving, and help keep stock levels optimized.

Store image and standards

You will ensure the team and store maintain the expected brand image by applying merchandising standards consistently and keeping the store clean and well maintained.

Staff management

You will be responsible for recruiting, training, developing, retaining, and organizing the store team. This also includes identifying suitable candidates, supporting their onboarding into the company, arranging staff schedules, and managing internal personnel budgets.

Budget and asset control

You will oversee store assets, manage inventory, reduce wastage in line with company goals, and ensure compliance with cash register usage rules and internal administrative procedures.
