Role Overview

The company is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer who can design and deliver robust, scalable backend systems. This role calls for practical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, and modern microservices ecosystems, along with the ability to build dependable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and operate microservices-based solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with other systems.
• Use Kafka to support streaming and event-driven workflows.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Keep applications performant, scalable, and dependable.
• Work closely with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions.
• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Take part in code reviews and technical problem-solving discussions.
• Investigate and fix production issues when they arise.

Required Skills and Experience

• Deep hands-on experience in Java development.
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
• Background in microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Confluent Kafka or similar event-driven platforms.
• Experience working with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of REST API design and consumption.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Cribl for observability or log management.
• Familiarity with OpenSearch or other search and analytics systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security practices such as OAuth2 and JWT.
• Awareness of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good grasp of design patterns and system design fundamentals.

Preferred Strengths

• Experience in tuning application performance and scaling systems.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus.
