Role overview
This role is focused on driving sales performance for assigned and prospective accounts in the Mumbai market. The position involves planning and delivering sales activity, tracking competitors and market movements, and helping the business achieve its revenue and profitability goals.
What you will do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute sales actions for assigned accounts to support target achievement.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, and wider industry developments to shape a stronger sales approach.
- Build and sustain long-term business relationships with current and potential customers to generate revenue.
- Meet accounts regularly to present new products, services, and promotions in a timely manner.
- Position yourself as a dependable advisor to key accounts and strengthen commercial relationships.
- Work with global sales enablement teams to identify effective promotional and selling methods.
- Research, collect, and analyze market and competitor intelligence to improve market share and visibility.
- Draft and coordinate commercial agreements while ensuring customer needs are captured and policies are followed.
- Represent the organization in client discussions and external events when needed.
- Lead or support the development of new stations or territories and serve as the main contact for GSA, where applicable.
- Own country or area commercial projects as assigned by the department.
- Coach and support new sales representatives through onboarding, initial client visits, and internal process familiarization.
- Create and follow a sales activity plan using the tools, data, and insights provided by sales strategy and planning teams.
- Assess market potential and customer value to convert opportunities into premium revenue.
- Keep customer information updated in the CRM system.
- Complete required commercial training and contribute as a subject-matter leader in your area.
- Work with stakeholders across regions and headquarters to support business objectives.
- Collect, review, and consolidate information that helps identify growth opportunities and supports product or service introductions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 4 years of relevant sales experience is expected.
- Background in commercial and analytical work is needed.
- Ability to lead others, including mentoring and coaching, is important.
- Comfort with strategic thinking and prioritizing projects.
- Capability to represent the station or country and present information to different audiences.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders across departments.
- Strong sales capability combined with customer service focus and industry knowledge.
- Ability to negotiate and manage commercial agreements in line with corporate rules.
- Strong CRM discipline and data management skills.
