Role Overview
Freo Group is seeking experienced riggers to join its shutdown lifting crews across Western Australia. The business is building a dependable team for shutdown work, with regular opportunities across the Pilbara, Goldfields and other regional WA locations. The role is suited to people who value consistency, efficient teamwork, and a strong safety culture.

What the Role Involves
The position is focused on safe and efficient rigging within shutdown environments. You will be part of a coordinated crane and rigging crew and expected to contribute to smooth, well-planned lifting operations that are completed correctly the first time.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is an experienced rigger who can work confidently in fast-moving environments, communicate clearly on site and maintain strong situational awareness. A practical attitude, reliability and a commitment to safe work practices are essential.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid High Risk Work Licence for RB, RI or RA
- Background in shutdown, construction or mining work
- Solid knowledge of lifting operations and safe work methods
- Ability to work effectively within a coordinated crane and rigging team
- Good communication and awareness while working onsite
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
- Strong work ethic and a positive, hands-on attitude
