About the Role

ANGARAI is a U.S.-headquartered program and project management company based in Washington, DC, serving public-sector and commercial clients in infrastructure, construction, technology, and professional services. As a certified small and diverse business, the firm competes for complex contracts where strong, compliant, and persuasive proposals are essential.

ANGARAI India is growing its support team to help drive the company’s business development and proposal functions from India. This position is for an experienced, detail-focused Proposal Writer who will create, edit, and complete high-quality business proposals, technical documents, and capture materials for U.S. client opportunities. The role works closely with the U.S. Growth team during U.S. Eastern Time business hours and plays a key part in ANGARAI’s capture and proposal lifecycle, ensuring every submission is polished, accurate, compliant, and aligned with client expectations and company standards.

Key Objectives

  • Prepare persuasive, compliant proposal submissions on schedule to help improve ANGARAI’s success rate in U.S. public-sector and commercial pursuits.
  • Build and maintain a strong content library and reusable templates that make future proposals faster and more consistent.
  • Contribute across the full capture, growth, and proposal operations process so the U.S. team can pursue more opportunities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Write, refine, and complete detailed proposals, technical narratives, and project documentation for U.S. client RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and task-order solicitations.
  • Research client priorities, solicitation expectations, scoring criteria, and relevant standards to produce accurate, relevant, and compliant content.
  • Work across time zones with U.S.-based growth, capture, technical, contracts, and leadership teams to collect inputs and keep all proposal sections aligned.
  • Create compliance matrices and organize responses to showcase value propositions, technical strengths, past performance, staffing approach, schedules, and regulatory or contractual compliance.
  • Develop executive summaries, win themes, response letters, and presentation decks that combine persuasive messaging, technical depth, and clear visual support.
  • Manage and improve the proposal content repository, standard templates, boilerplate language, and past-performance records for speed and consistency.
  • Edit and quality-check all deliverables for clarity, brevity, grammar, consistency, and compliance before submission.
  • Assist with capture work such as market research, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, and stakeholder inputs to strengthen win strategy before solicitations are released.
  • Monitor proposal milestones, submission timelines, and review checkpoints such as color-team reviews to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure every output follows ANGARAI’s brand, tone, voice, and quality expectations.
  • Use generative AI responsibly for benchmarking and research, while ensuring final content is tailored to client needs and ANGARAI’s practical solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, English, Communications, Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing, technical documentation, or business development; experience with U.S. or international clients is an added advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication with excellent grammar, structure, clarity, and presentation ability.
  • Hands-on experience with office productivity tools and proposal/CRM platforms such as ZOHO Writer, PDF Editor, Show, Sheets, ZOHO CRM, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe, or similar tools is beneficial.
  • Understanding of RFP and RFQ workflows, with preference for candidates familiar with public-sector or B2B procurement.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, handle multiple simultaneous proposals, and deliver within strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, research, planning, and organizational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently while coordinating effectively in a distributed, cross-border team.
  • Preferred experience in writing for technical, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or government-services sectors.
  • Preferred familiarity with project lifecycles, capture management, and U.S. federal or state procurement processes.
  • Comfort working across time zones with dependable overlap into U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
