Project Engineer (m/w/d)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the Thermal Comfort Solutions business in Oberding, Bavaria. This position sits within a global automotive supplier focused on seating and vehicle electrical systems, with a specific emphasis on seat heating, seat comfort systems, and seat ventilation solutions.

The role is intended for someone who can serve as the main technical contact for German customers while supporting product development and project delivery in a cross-functional environment.

What you will do

• Coordinate and guide projects related to seating thermal comfort, including seat comfort systems, seat heaters, and seat ventilation.
• Track project milestones and ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and target achievement.
• Prepare and deliver internal as well as customer-facing updates on project status and results.
• Organize, support, and sometimes conduct validation testing, including preparation of test materials.
• Build a thorough understanding of customer needs, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing product improvement and further development.
• Work closely with the development team and collaborate across functions such as JIT teams, manufacturing plants, sales, quality, and the customer.
• Support the preparation of development budgets and help ensure financial targets are met in coordination with regional controlling teams.

What we are looking for

• A completed technical degree, such as mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or industrial engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in automotive construction/design, ideally with electronics-related knowledge in the automotive sector.
• Strong written and spoken German and English skills.
• A self-driven, proactive working style.
• Willingness to engage closely and constructively with customers.
