Role overview
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for running the startup portfolio at Rubix Studio and making sure each venture advances through its milestones and receives the support needed to grow into a commercially successful business. This position brings together portfolio oversight, direct founder support, operational discipline, and performance management backed by data.
A major part of the job is to put in place the right technology stack, AI-enabled tools, and automated dashboards so leadership can monitor portfolio KPIs and access up-to-date performance insights.
Key responsibilities
- Follow each venture’s journey from selection to proof of concept, implementation, fundraising, and eventual spin-off.
- Keep an eye on KPIs, spot emerging risks, and partner with internal teams to remove execution blockers.
- Work closely with product, legal, finance, and business functions to help startups move forward.
- Set up and run mentoring sessions, workshops, and periodic review meetings for founders.
- Make sure founders can reach the expertise and resources they need to speed up execution.
- Gather founder feedback and use it to improve how portfolio support is delivered.
- Create governance structures for the portfolio and define consistent performance metrics.
- Choose and roll out portfolio tools, CRM platforms, and AI-based solutions.
- Design automated dashboards that show live venture performance and strategic KPIs.
- Prepare executive-level reports and insights that support informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, corporates, accelerators, and other ecosystem partners.
- Enable collaboration between portfolio companies, Rubix Holding subsidiaries, and strategic partners to open up pilots and commercial opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in venture capital, startup operations, venture building, accelerators, or portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge of startup growth, commercialization, and fundraising.
- Hands-on exposure to reporting systems, analytics platforms, CRM tools, and workflow automation.
- Excellent skills in organization, stakeholder coordination, and communication.
- A data-oriented approach with interest in AI and operational efficiency.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and engaging closely with founders.
Success measures
- Venture milestones and KPIs are met consistently across the portfolio.
- Risks are identified early and handled proactively.
- Dashboards and automated reporting improve visibility and decision-making.
- Founders remain highly engaged and satisfied with the support they receive.
- Strong cooperation develops between startups, Rubix partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Profile
