Role overview

This position is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.

Key responsibilities
- Keep accurate records for material issues, returns, and all movements of stock.
- Make sure priority materials and daily requirements are available in line with the project schedule.
- Handle material receiving activities on site according to the correct process.
- Use suitable methods to store and preserve materials properly.
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and well-run warehouse and stores area.
- Support project teams with efficient material deliveries from the warehouse, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
- Use company systems correctly to manage day-to-day warehouse activity.
- Work in line with company procedures, standards, and operating processes at all times.
- Track and reduce the use of external hire for transport, plant, and equipment, while keeping records current.
- Prepare material reports and check them for accuracy.
- Manage stock checks, traceability, and reconciliation for issued materials following company procedures.
- Maintain minimum stock levels where needed.
- Document all surplus and returned materials from site.
- Work with site teams to resolve delivery mismatches and related issues.
- Coordinate with the Group Material Manager on removing and disposing of excess or scrap materials.
- Support Health, Safety & Environment standards in accordance with company policy.
- Follow the company quality system and maintain required quality standards.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Work independently under general supervision, using detailed guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
- Make decisions within established procedures and standard working practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in stores or materials management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good computer skills, especially in Excel and Word.
- Previous SAP experience is desirable.
- Experience in a construction project environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical parts is desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical parts is desirable.
